About: Action Against Hunger

Founded in 1979, Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental organization that fights hunger in the world. Its charter of humanitarian principles - independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, transparency - has established its identity for more than 40 years. Its mission is to save lives by eliminating hunger by preventing, detecting and treating malnutrition, especially during and after emergencies related to conflicts and natural disasters. Action against Hunger coordinates its programs around 7 areas of activity: Nutrition and Health - Mental Health, Psychosocial Support - Food Security and Livelihood - Water, Sanitation and Hygiene - Advocacy - Climate - Research, analysis and learning. Mission:

Under the supervision of the Head of Pôle Playoyer - Faim et Conflits, your mission will be to develop, inform and implement advocacy to respond to attacks on international and national humanitarian workers and better protect them.
In this context, your responsibilities will be:
Contribute to the definition, implementation and monitoring of the Mechanism's advocacy action plan
Provide analysis and technical advice, and contribute to the development of the political positions of the mechanism
Support external coordination and represent the Mechanism to stakeholders

Profile:

You hold a Master's degree in political science, international solidarity, law, international law, or international cooperation and you have at least 2 years of experience in these fields.
You have a proven knowledge of advocacy actions and strategies, including protection.
You have successful experience in private and public joint/mutli-influence action, as well as in analysis and synthesis development, research production or analysis.
Humanitarian field experience will be considered an asset.
You are fluent in written and spoken English.

Conditions of employment

Status: Integrated Executive - Fixed-term contract of 7 months until 06/30/2026 - Full-time
Location: Montreuil (Seine-Saint-Denis)
Remuneration: From 41K to 50K euros gross per year over 13 months depending on experience
Benefits: 25 days per year of CP and 21 days of RTT
Health coverage, pension: 80% coverage by ACF

Transport Allowances: 50% coverage of the flat rate between home and workplace
Allowances Restaurant tickets (Up lunch card): 60% coverage by the association for a value of 8 euros

Telework: Teleworking open to all from the metropolitan territory
A mandatory presence at the headquarters of 1 day per month has been defined for this position
Group face-to-face times imposed / also mandatory by the employer: for meetings and collective events (up to 3 days per month) and 2 days of mandatory presence when you join the team

Special conditions: field travel according to needs (Kenya, OPt, Ukraine) + EU/US capital
