Job Title: Assistant Engineer

Provide technical support to the supervising engineer in following up the implementation of school rehabilitation works in accordance with the technical conditions and specifications agreed upon with the contractor, while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards and the specified schedule.
Field follow-up:
1. Field supervision of daily rehabilitation work to ensure its implementation in accordance with the technical specifications in the term sheets.
2. Ensure that the contractor adheres to the approved schedule and addresses any delays.
3. Monitoring and control of the quality of the materials used, ensuring their compliance with the specifications and ensuring compliance with the required quantities.
4. Receiving the finished works and ensuring their conformity with the technical conditions books and preparing the final receipt minutes.
Reporting and documentation:
1. Documenting the stages of work, daily achievements and problems that may face implementation (pictures, bills of quantities).
2. Prepare periodic reports on the progress of work and submit them to the supervising engineer.
3. Save and archive all technical documents and drawings related to the project.
Coordination and communication:
1. Coordination between the contractor and the supervising engineer to solve any technical or administrative problems that may face the implementation.
2. Coordination and communication with the concerned authorities to ensure that the work runs smoothly.
3. Provide observations and suggestions to the supervising engineer regarding the implementation of the project and contribute to solving problems.
Academic Qualifications:
Civil Engineering, Architecture, Electrical, Mechanical, Engineering Institute or equivalent
Requirements:
At least 3 years of experience in construction, rehabilitation, or construction project management.
Previous experience working with humanitarian organizations of at least two years.
Knowledge and experience in using AutoCAD engineering software
Proficiency in working on computer programs and using Microsoft Office office programs
Required Skills:
Proficiency in written and spoken English at an intermediate level.
Strong communication skills to deal with field teams and contractors.
Ability to work under pressure and solve problems quickly.
Accuracy in reviewing technical details and reports.
Extensive knowledge of technical specifications, building materials, quality standards and occupational safety and health systems.
