Leading the implementation of the Freetown Digital Economy Cluster, supporting the city’s goal of creating 120,000 digital jobs for youth and women by 2028 through inclusive innovation. Scaled up tablet-based learning from 45 to 65 schools in partnership with Rising Academies, while securing new partnerships (e.g., Teacher in a Box with Fig Tree Foundation) to enhance digital access in classrooms. Designed and executed the first Annual Mayor’s Hackathon (Feb 2025), focused on tech solutions for urban resilience in informal settlements, with three civic-tech solutions now in early-stage incubation. Leading the development of a city-wide Digital Innovation Hub, including concept planning, technical partner mapping, and operational design. Coordinated digital financial literacy training for 200 youth and women via partnership with MiKashBoks and supported ongoing digital finance pilots in local markets. Supporting Freetown City Council’s public sector digital transformation—including revenue digitization systems and document management automation.

● Provide strategic leadership for the mentorship pillar of the Now Generation Network, connecting emerging African changemakers with seasoned professionals. ● Lead design of mentorship frameworks, training modules, and impact tracking systems to strengthen intergenerational dialogue and professional growth. ● Represent the network in high-level stakeholder engagements focused on youth leadership, data policy, and African development.

Founder & Executive Director (Part Time)

Key Achievements ● Youth Entrepreneurship & Skills (SLSDP): Designed a 6-month Entrepreneurship Curriculum and trained 58 youth entrepreneurs as part of the Sierra Leone Skills Development Project – a World Bank-funded initiative to increase demand-driven skills training. Helped young participants launch business ideas and improve their employability, contributing to national workforce development goals. ● Curriculum Localization (UNICEF UPSHIFT): Co-consulted with ProIdealist for Restless Development Sierra Leone and UNICEF on localizing the global UPSHIFT life-skills curriculum, adapting it to the Sierra Leone context. This program benefited 250 adolescent girls in informal settlements, equipping them with social innovation skills and confidence to address community challenges. ● Civic Engagement Training: Trained 50 youth from seven civil society and community-based organizations on impactful civic engagement and effective communication. This series of workshops strengthened youth-led advocacy and community organizing, aligning with just transition principles and encouraging democratic participation. ● Career Development & Job Placement: Led an intensive Career Development Crash Course for 19 unemployed graduates, covering CV writing, interview skills, and personal development. Achieved a 74% employment rate within six months post-completion – a tangible outcome demonstrating program effectiveness in improving youth livelihood opportunities.

Consultant, Education Projects & Partnerships

Key Achievements ● Co-developed an education monitoring system that allowed the council’s Education Department to strategically manage 4,317 school visits and provide high-level oversight on 11,129 classroom observations in 519 schools in Freetown. ● Managed the implementation of Faster Math and tablet learning programs in 170 schools to increase the numeracy and literacy skills of 23,000 students. ● Supported the Chief Heat Officer in co-facilitating 2 heat mapping workshops training 58 Air Quality Assessors for the first heat mapping exercise in Freetown. ● Trained 2,150 teachers and school leaders on record keeping, gender mainstreaming, emotional intelligence, effective communication, feedback, and mentorship support. ● Recruited, managed, and trained 20 climate action youth volunteers to coordinate protocols and registration of 400+ guests during the first TEDxMayorOfFreetown in 2021.

Course Designer/Teaching Assistant

Key Achievements ● Designed 2 courses on Project Planning & Strategic Management and Research Methods for students studying Masters in Development Management, Masters in Public Policy, and Masters in Public Administration. ● Organized 2 panel discussions where government officials shared their experiences with students on the topics: Public Sector Management & Economic Policy Implementation and Civil Society Contribution in Sierra Leone’s Post-Covid-19 Recovery process. ● Co-facilitated 11 masters classes, 27 undergraduate classes, and managed 15 student office hours and feedback sessions over three semesters.

Sustainable Development

The Sustainable Development master's program at the University of Sussex exposes students to a high-level leadership and intellectual research-oriented network that will influence their capacity and competency levels to address poverty using a blend of indigenous and modern approaches in leading STEM, research, project management, innovation, policy, and entrepreneurial leadership development in their respective countries.

Global Challenges

The Global Challenges program at African Leadership University in Rwanda is an innovative, mission-driven bachelor’s degree designed to equip students with the skills and mindset to address Africa’s most pressing developmental issues, from education and healthcare to climate resilience, governance, and infrastructure. Students begin with ALU’s Leadership Core, building essential competencies in problem-solving, critical thinking, communication, and entrepreneurship before advancing to design their own mission aligned with a chosen grand challenge. Learning is experiential and project-based, integrating real-world collaborations with partner organizations, community initiatives, and up to four internships across the continent. Throughout the program, students apply interdisciplinary approaches to create scalable, sustainable solutions for African contexts while gaining leadership experience in practical settings. The degree culminates in a capstone project and personal manifesto that articulate each graduate’s strategy for contributing to Africa’s transformation. The BA (Hons) Global Challenges degree program allowed me to specialize in "Education Policy, Program Design, Entrepreneurial Leadership, and Youth Skills Development."
