Irene Marete is a senior finance professional with over 18 years of experience in financial management, governance, audit, and regulatory compliance across financial services, investment management, and multinational environments. She is currently a Financial Controller at Exinity Capital East Africa Ltd and has held senior roles at Britam Asset Managers (Kenya) Ltd, as well as audit and advisory positions at Ernst & Young. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance), an MBA in Strategic Management, and is a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (CPAK). She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at Daystar University. Her psychology training strengthens her leadership through emotional intelligence, ethical judgment, effective communication, conflict resolution, stress management ,cultural sensitivity and people management which are critical in humanitarian and high-pressure, diverse work environments.
