Providing leadership and technical guidance to the $19.7 MILLION 5-year USAID funded program targeting to improve resilience, incomes, nutrition, and hygienic status of 53,600 smallholder farmers in marginal areas of Zimbabwe through commercializing and integrating them into sustainable value chains. This involved management of 40+ technical staff, several local and international partnerships; overseeing the achievement of program goals per agreed work plans; providing financial management; overseeing compliance with USAID and federal government regulations and liaising and coordinating with other USAID activities; establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with Zimbabwe government ministries and agencies, private companies and NGOs; providing support, guidance and field interaction with farmers, stakeholders, and support to staff; ensuring training, mentoring and team building of program staff, farmers and stakeholders on technical and administrative issues; Monitoring & Evaluation of program activities/results against PMP indicators; providing leadership in negotiations and final approval of subcontract and sub grant agreements and others; providing oversight on procurement and inventory management, grant activities, and other aspects; and providing and producing specific technical reports related to the program.

Provided leadership and technical guidance to the $12.5 Million 5-year USAID funded program for commercializing and improving incomes of 13,000 smallholder cattle farmers which included management of 25+ technical staff; ensuring that all program goals were met per agreed work plans and production of technical reports; providing management and oversight of the program in accordance with policies and compliance with Fintrac and USAID regulations; establishing, collaborating and maintaining positive working relationships with various stakeholders; providing support to farmers, other direct beneficiaries, counterpart organisations, partners and staff; providing leadership in negotiations and final approval of subcontract and sub grant agreements and oversight of procurement and inventory management; grant activities, and other aspects.
