Conducted comprehensive wetland mapping across Siaya County to identify critical ecosystems supporting community-based agricultural conservation initiatives. Developed flood risk assessment maps integrating topographical data, seasonal water flow patterns, and land use analysis to inform climate-resilient farming practices. Utilizing ArcGIS pro/GPS/remote sensing/field surveys to produce actionable maps supporting conservation strategies in flood-prone agricultural areas. Ecological and Earth Sciences Associate

Actively participated in the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (SDCF) Ethiopia implementation through regular contributions to the Environment and Climate Change Group and the design and implementation of joint climate action projects. Provided support in the implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of programmes related to biodiversity conservation, ecosystem restoration, and management of water resources. Assisted in arranging for UNESCO's participation and presentation during technical and ministerial sessions at the African Union's Specialized Technical Committee on Education, Science and Technology. Provided technical backstopping, including contributing to and preparing reports and communication materials such as newsletters, web stories and brochures, based on technical and scientific information. Drafted Terms of Reference for creating a biosphere reserves youth network in Ethiopia.
