Admin and Finance Officer

Duties and Responsibilities; Finance; • Maintain accurate records of daily financial transactions, ensuring timely and efficient processing. • Collect, review, and verify all financial vouchers and supporting documentation. • Ensure proper filing and organization of provincial office financial vouchers. • Process all bank and cash transactions only after review and approval from the Finance Manager. • Prepare comprehensive payment vouchers and cash verification forms. • Assist the Finance Manager with the preparation of monthly payroll. • Manage banking operations, petty cash, and perform regular bank and cash reconciliations. • Support the Finance Manager in preparing monthly financial and donor reports. • Ensure timely collection and payment of income taxes to the Ministry of Finance, addressing any related tax issues as necessary. Procurement Duties: Procure materials for project requirements in accordance with IASB policies and procedures, working closely with the head office procurement logistics team and procurement committee. • Maintain an up-to-date inventory of office supplies, ensuring proper inventory control using FIFO, LIFO, periodic, and weighted average methods at the project office and field locations. Achievements: • Streamlined the reporting process, reducing the time required to prepare monthly financial reports by 30%. • Conducted a thorough risk analysis, resulting in a portfolio adjustment that safeguarded the budget from potential over- or under-expenditure. • Trained and mentored two accountants over a six-month period, enhancing team performance and project efficiency.

Grants Officer
