Human Resources Officer June 2022 – Feb 2023 UNICEF’s Division of Human Resource (DHR): Performance Management and Career Development Unit (PMCD), New York, US Major Responsibilities: • Conduct analysis of the current recruitment status (es) of REACH graduates in Talent Management System (TMS) and prepare weekly updates for the Performance Management and Career Development REACH team to follow up actions, including hiring managers and HR colleagues in relevant offices. • Support the REACH Programme Manager in updating the REACH quarterly report to engage all stakeholder’s commitment to scaling up the REACH Programme • Management of other projects in performance management and career development. Key achievements: • Successfully reviewed 46 International Professional, National Professional (NO) and General Service (GS) posts in 11 regions, shared the findings, observations and areas for strengthening with HR Manager to review for further actions and reporting. • Supported Performance Management and Career Development (PMCD) Units in tracking applications of REACH graduates in the Talent Management System (TMS), prepared weekly reports and shared them with the REACH Programme Manager for follow-up. • Supported and interacted with REACH graduates, their supervisors, and UNICEF Representatives and Deputy Representatives in all UNICEF Country Offices with REACH graduates on surveys about the REACH Programme successes.

Human Resources Officer Nov 2020 – Dec 2021 UNICEF South Sudan Country Office, Juba, South Sudan Major Responsibilities: • Business Partnering: Acted as the main contact for five client portfolios, offering expert guidance on HR processes and policies while ensuring strong client relationships and accountability. Facilitated regular meetings to address HR concerns and educate clients on the Performance Management cycle. • Strategic HR Collaboration: Collaborated with HQ and regional offices to shape and implement corporate HR strategies, recommending enhancements to HR systems and processes while staying informed on industry best practices. • Efficient HR Service Implementation: Assisted the HR Manager in key areas such as recruitment and performance management, promoting initiatives that foster organizational culture and staff development while addressing client issues with effective solutions. • Learning and Capacity Building: Partnered with the HR Manager to create and deliver training programs aimed at enhancing staff skills in critical areas, including interviewing and application processes, while supporting section chiefs in developing learning plans based on capacity assessments. • HR Data Analytics: Produced HR analytics to support management decisions, helping client leaders prepare documentation for budget submissions and job classifications, while tracking progress on learning initiatives and providing technical guidance on HR requests. Managed timely and widespread vacancy announcements to attract diverse candidates, with a focus on increasing female representation. • Administration of Staff Benefits: Oversaw the administration and management of staff benefits and entitlements in coordination with GSSC, ensuring timely contract renewals and accurate processing of benefits such as pension documents, medical insurance, and leave entitlements. • Consultant Hiring Guidelines: Enhanced the hiring process for consultants by providing guidelines and support to sections in developing Terms of Reference (TORs) and selecting candidates, ensuring compliance with established procedures. • Financial Management and Reimbursements: Managed the processing of payment requests for staff-related expenses, including advertisement costs and medical examination bills. Conducted analyses and research to resolve staff inquiries regarding benefits and entitlements. • Emergency Preparedness Monitoring: Assisted in evaluating the emergency preparedness plan, assessing its relevance to current crises and security situations. Provided recommendations for adaptations, focusing on addressing gender-specific issues that may arise during emergencies.
