Survey and Database Officer

I have been working for UNODC for more than one year as survey and database officer. the most responsibilities I have was designing the tool or questionnaire for data collection. train the regional coordinators and enumerators. monitor the data collection process and clean, process, analyze and prepare visualization to the supervisor.

Data Analyst

below is my responsibilities I was doing: Main Responsibilities: 1. Data Quality Assurance • Responsible for daily data checking in line with processes established by the Database Manager (DBM). • In coordination with the DBM, provide daily feedback on data quality issues to the Assessment Officers (AOs). • In coordination with the DBM, follow up daily issues with the corresponding Operation team members. • Apply data protection regulations during daily activities. 2. Developing data collection tools:  Kobo Toolbox, AKvo, and ODK.  Google forms.  XLS-Form  REACH internal systems. 3. Develop Tools and Training Materials • In coordination with the DBM, develop and test data collection kobo xls forms. • Support the training of enumerators on the use of data collection methods, tools, and processes. • Provide support to other REACH team members as required in data aspects. • In coordination with the DBM, develop training materials on data collection techniques, data safety and security. 4. Development of Analysis and Coding Skills • Drafting of data cleaning and analysis scripts in R as needed and at current skill level. • Fulfil technical training and learning plan and continuously conduct self-study to improve data wrangling and analysis skills. • Maintaining, expanding, and optimizing the existing functions/scripts of data wrangling and analysis, and automation of possible data cleaning and analysis processes 6. Team and Project Management • Monitoring all running projects in terms of data processing, data collection tracking, and analysis. • Collate and report relevant lessons learned to the Database Manager and Assessment Focal Point • Monitoring and quality checking of overall and daily based works of Jr/DBOs under supervision. • Supporting Jr/DBOs in terms of problem solving and capacity building. 7. Data analysis  Write comprehensive functions in R to data analysis module.  Automate the analysis of data by coding in R and Python to analysis the different parts of information such as population group (IDP, host community, prolonged IDP and Returnee)  Preparing the analysis plan

Database Officer

Main Responsibilities: • Developed XLSX-based tools to facilitate assessment data collection and management. • Designed and implemented R scripts for daily data processing workflows. • Executed routine daily data processing to ensure timely updates. • Identified and flagged data inconsistencies within daily datasets for prompt resolution. • Maintained a comprehensive master cleaning log documenting all data corrections and updates. • Conducted data cleaning and preparation to ensure readiness for in-depth analysis. • Automated the replacement of outdated values with updated entries using R scripts. • Created and managed a real-time tracker to monitor ongoing assessments for the operations team. • Performed daily data quality checks according to procedures established by the Database Manager (DBM).
