LEGAL/ PUBLIC POLICY ADVISOR

Charged with architecting NHSWA’s 5-year vision, strategy and plans to deliver $1 Billion WASH Infrastructure programs with 500 employees, local and national government, donors and other key stakeholders. Oversight over HR, Financial Management, Sustainability, Legal and Regulatory Compliance alongside the board. Ensured Governance, Risk and Controls by instituting controls, systems, SOPs, and policies across all functions, corporate governance and advisory to the board. Championed development and execution of annual Fundraising, Donor Management and Quality Assurance Plans. Chief representative with key external stakeholders and advocate on public policy. Initially hired to lead institutional legal reforms, regulatory affairs, capacity building, audits and governance in NHWSA’s transition from National Water Conservation and Pipeline Corporation in collaboration with consulting lawyers.
