Review project documents to ensure compliance with national, international, and World Bank (WB) standards applicable to the Dasu Hydropower Project. • Analyze Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), Initial Environmental Examinations (IEE), Environmental Management Action Plans (EMAP), Construction Environmental Action Plans (CEAP), and contract documents, ensuring their implementation on-site. • Conduct daily inspections and monitoring visits to key construction sites, including the main work areas. • Review feedback from the Engineer regarding project plans and activities, addressing any required changes or improvements. • Participate in joint site visits with the Engineer and client, promptly addressing issues identified during these visits. • Lead waste management surveys and internal environmental audits to ensure site compliance. • Participate in weekly internal Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) meetings with senior management, providing updates on daily activities and overall progress. • Attend bi-monthly progress review meetings with the Engineer and client to discuss project advancements. • Conduct on-site environmental lab monitoring, including noise, air, and water quality assessments. • Deliver training sessions to workers on waste management practices, including proper collection, segregation, and disposal, ensuring awareness from management to labor level. • Educate workers on the 3Rs—Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle—and encourage sustainable practices. • Ensure adherence to WB Environmental Code of Practices (ECPs). • Supervise and guide the environmental team, preparing them for on-site activity supervision. • Prepare daily progress reports and compile monthly environmental reports for submission to the Engineer. • Collaborate closely with HSE staff to align environmental and safety efforts.
