At Move on Afrika Ltd, I lead the design, coordination, and implementation of donor-funded programs integrating Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) across multiple sectors. I also design and facilitate capacity-building workshops for staff, partners, and community stakeholders on gender equity, advocacy, and social inclusion. In addition, I lead the development of proposals, research tools, and advocacy campaigns that enhance awareness and systemic change around gender and social inclusion. My work involves strengthening partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, and CSOs, and promoting the meaningful participation of women, youth, and persons with disabilities in program design and implementation. Overall, my work at Move on Afrika focuses on coordinating inclusive programs, strengthening local capacities, ensuring donor compliance, and advancing sustainable, community-driven impact across Kenya and the region.

My master’s dissertation, “Access to and Knowledge of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) Among Young Women in Djibouti City, Djibouti,” examined the social, cultural, and structural barriers that limit young women’s access to SRHR information and services. The research applied feminist, intersectionality, and reproductive justice frameworks to analyse how gender norms, religion, and stigma shape health outcomes. Using a mixed-methods approach—including surveys, interviews, and statistical analysis—the study identified misconceptions, service gaps, and policy weaknesses affecting young women aged 20–24. The findings informed targeted recommendations for SRHR education, stigma reduction, and inclusive policy reforms to promote gender equity and health rights in Djibouti.
