I am an experienced programmatic leader with over 20 years of progressive responsibility across humanitarian, development, and stabilization settings in the Middle East. My career has been dedicated to improving the safety, dignity, and resilience of displaced and vulnerable populations through evidence-based program design, strategic planning, and collaborative implementation across complex, multi-country environments. I bring extensive expertise in leading integrated, multi-sector programmes with a strong focus on protection, livelihoods, basic services, community resilience, and durable solutions. I have successfully directed large portfolios in conflict and post-conflict settings, overseeing program strategy, proposal development, donor engagement, MEAL systems, quality assurance, and cross-functional coordination. With hands-on leadership experience in the Middle East—including Jordan, Iraq, Syria and the wider MENA region—I have developed a deep understanding of regional political dynamics, displacement trends, government engagement frameworks, and the operational realities of working in volatile contexts. I have coordinated closely with national authorities, UN agencies, INGOs, local CSOs, and international donors, ensuring alignment, compliance, and strong representation of organizational priorities. My leadership approach is grounded in DRC’s core competencies: I strive for excellence through robust program design and accountability frameworks; I collaborate inclusively with diverse teams and partners; I take initiative to drive innovation and strengthen programme integration; I communicate clearly, transparently, and respectfully; and I uphold the highest standards of integrity and ethical conduct. I am particularly motivated by DRC’s mandate and its commitment to localization, protection mainstreaming, community empowerment, and long-term solutions for displaced populations. With experience managing technical teams, developing high-quality proposals, driving organizational strategy, and embedding MEAL and learning systems, I am confident in my ability to lead the strategic direction of DRC’s newly merged Jordan–Iraq operation and contribute meaningfully to its regional impact.
