Tomás Doce – Data Scientist, Researcher, and Monitoring & Evaluation Expert Tomás Doce is a results-driven Mozambican professional with over 15 years of experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, and Research across health, education, agriculture, and community development sectors. He has led field teams, coordinated evaluations, and developed robust M&E systems in Mozambique and across Southern Africa, including Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Namibia, Eswatini, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Tomás holds degrees in Information Technology, History, and Information Engineering, and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Data Science at the University of Chicago. He also holds a Data Science certificate from Johns Hopkins University and has completed specialized training in field research and evaluation for decision-making from institutions such as the World Bank and UNICEF. Throughout his career, he has designed and implemented M&E frameworks with Theory of Change, developed digital data management platforms, and led performance evaluations for projects funded by USAID, GAVI, the Global Fund, UNICEF, and the Government of Finland.
