JOB OBJECTIVES
Under the direction and supervision of the State Coordinator, the ACTED Comprehensive Assistant will be responsible for carrying out operational tasks for the distribution of assistance in response to the humanitarian emergency following the earthquake of June 24, 2026, focusing efforts on the areas of greatest impact: La Guaira, Miranda, and Caracas. Their main functions include the validation, dissemination, delivery, and receipt of supplies, as well as serving as the team's focal point to ensure continuous support for interventions on the ground.
General Responsibilities:
•
Ensure the delivery of benefits and provide support to beneficiaries and those affected by the humanitarian assistance project before, during, and after distribution.
•
Ensure effective communication within the ACTED team and with beneficiaries, providing timely solutions and communication channels.
•
Maintain a commitment to safeguarding, promote community participation, and manage the resolution of complaints through appropriate channels.
Comply with WFP requirements regarding diction, presence, and body language, ensuring respect for the Organization's humanitarian principles.
Distribution:
•
Ensure proper receipt, safekeeping, and correct distribution of benefits according to the action plan for the affected camps.
•
Meet delivery deadlines, collaborating with the Team Focal Points, Validation, Registration, and Socialization teams.
•
Organize food or supplies, ensure proper palletizing, and maintain operational order during the delivery process.
Validation:
•
Identify beneficiaries on the lists, validate their identity with a signature, and delegate the corresponding quantity of benefits to the warehouse.
•
Register all deliveries on time, in coordination with the rest of the field team.
•
Maintain strict confidentiality of personal information to comply with ACTED's data protection policy.
•
Report daily to the State Coordinator on validation progress at the end of each day.
Registration and Updating:
•
Conduct respectful, consultative, and informed interactions with beneficiaries.
•
Ensure data quality to achieve registration goals in coordination with the affected individuals and/or beneficiaries of the humanitarian assistance project being visited.
•
Accurately upload collected data to the corporate platform and properly operate the technological equipment provided for surveys.
•
Report technical and operational problems to the Registration Officer and propose immediate solutions.
•
Protect the confidentiality of information collected during the survey process.
Outreach:
•
Disseminate messages and distribute communication materials to beneficiaries, ensuring accessibility for people with disabilities.
•
Ensure high-quality outreach within the planned timeframe through collaborative work in the field.
•
Organize spaces, authorized by the affected individuals and/or beneficiaries of the humanitarian assistance project, to conduct workshops on health, hygiene, nutrition, and gender.
•
Ensure the project's visibility by distributing informational materials during training sessions.
•
Resolve doubts and provide response channels regarding the camps for those affected by the earthquake.
Team Leader:
•
Guide the team in distribution, ensuring adherence to deadlines and guaranteeing quality implementation.
• Accompany and monitor the delivery process of food, non-food items ,
and data collection exercises.
•
Report the number of beneficiaries served, durations, and incidents to the respective coordinators.
CONDITIONS
• Contract for piecework services based on days of service provision. • Work location: ACTED office in Caracas with recurring travel to the field: La Guaira and areas affected by the earthquake. • On-site service provision. • Immediate availability. REQUIREMENTS: • 18 years of age or older. • Minimum education level: High school diploma. • At least 1 year of prior experience in similar work (desirable, not mandatory).
