Afghanistan National Horticulture Development Organization (ANHDO) is a national non-governmental, non-profit organization registered with the Ministry of Economy of Afghanistan, with long-standing experience in agriculture, climate resilience, livelihoods, and community development.

ANHDO is seeking to establish a partnership with an Italian NGO registered with the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) to jointly design and submit a project proposal under AICS Call for Proposals Aid 013365/01/0 for programming in Afghanistan.

The selected Italian NGO will act as Lead Applicant, while ANHDO will serve as Local Implementing Partner, providing field presence, contextual expertise, and implementation capacity.
Priority Sectors

The partnership will focus on one or more of the following areas:

• Climate change adaptation and resilience

• Sustainable agriculture and rural livelihoods

• Food security and natural resource management

• Community resilience in fragile contexts

Eligibility

Interested organizations must:

• Be an Italian NGO officially registered with AICS

• Have experience managing AICS- or EU-funded projects

• Demonstrate experience in fragile or conflict-affected contexts

• Show commitment to equitable partnerships and localization

Scope of Collaboration

Joint responsibilities include:

• Project design and proposal writing

• Budget development

• Risk and security planning

• Implementation and monitoring

• Relevant project portfolio

• Legal registration certificate

  Selection Procedure

  The partner will be selected through a transparent and competitive process including desk review, technical scoring, shortlisting, interviews, and final selection.
