Description
MAGENTA is supporting the launch of a new digital product in the KSA market, applying behavioural science to a defined business problem.
To deliver this initiative, MAGENTA is engaging a Digital Product Manager with working knowledge of behavioural science (BeSci) or social and behavioural change (SBC) approaches, to carry the product from discovery through to build and scaled proof. The consultant will translate behavioural insights and SBC/BeSci processes into clear, actionable product requirements for technical teams, ensuring the resulting digital solution is user-centred, evidence-based, and aligned with project objectives.
Key Responsibilities
The Digital Product Manager will report to the Behavioural Science Lead, partnering closely with the Technical Lead and the Project Manager. Responsibilities are phased and include:
Prepare (Phase 0): develop the design-thinking workshop material and prepare the discovery approach.
Empathise & Define (Phase 1): design and run interviews and observation with the target audience (or close proxies) to understand barriers, triggers and behaviour; map the current journey and apply structured behavioural diagnosis; cross qualitative insight with historical data; synthesise into a sharp problem statement, evidence-based segments and personas; and co-design the success metric and measurement approach (baseline, test/control split, target and window).
Ideate & Prototype / Pilot (Phase 2): run structured ideation per segment, converge to one or two concepts via a value/effort screen, design the interventions and their delivery, direct the pilot, and compare test vs. control vs. baseline while validating methodological soundness.
Build, Test & Scale (Phases 3–4): review outputs for behavioural quality during the build, run the scaled pilot, measure results vs. control, validate statistical significance, build the full case study and safeguard output quality.
Attend regular project meetings and deliver presentations to the client as required.
Requirements
Digital product management: Proven experience managing digital products through discovery, development, testing, and launch using Agile methodologies, including roadmap, backlog, and delivery management.
Behavioural Science (BeSci) or SBC expertise: Practical experience working with Behavioural Science or Social and Behaviour Change programmes, with the ability to translate behavioural insights, user journeys, and intervention designs into clear, actionable product requirements and work effectively with software developers, UX/UI designers, and technical leads to deliver scalable digital solutions.
Experimentation and data-driven decision-making: Familiarity with test-and-learn approaches, including A/B or test/control methodologies, behavioural metrics, and using data to inform product decisions and validate outcomes.
Stakeholder management: Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience presenting product roadmaps, managing priorities, and balancing delivery trade-offs.
Language and regional experience: Fluency in English and Arabic, with experience working in KSA or the Gulf region and an understanding of the local cultural context.
