Oxfam is seeking a professional animated video producer to develop high-quality animated videos. The result will be 1 animated video explainer (2 minutes maximum) in English and French for social media, in view of the launch of the Commitment to Reduce Inequality Index (CRII) 2024.

ABOUT THE CRII:

Africa is the most unequal continent. Oxfam in Africa works with partners to eliminate injustice and reduce inequality. Oxfam regularly published the Commitment to Reducing Inequality (CRII) report which presents the various efforts countries have put in place to reducing the gap between the rich and the poor and between men and women. Oxfam in Africa (OIA) uses this report to call on governments and other stakeholders to put more effort towards reducing inequality on the continent. The 2024 report will be published this October.

Oxfam’s vision is a just world without poverty, in which people can influence the decisions that affect their lives, enjoy their rights, and assume their responsibilities as full citizens of a world where all human beings are valued and treated equally.

OBJECTIVE
The objective of the launch of the CRII is to deepen awareness among decision makers and the public about inequality and the links between inequality and hunger, climate change, poverty. This animated video will serve as a tool to generate online conversations about the commitment to reduce inequalities by African governments.
Key tasks and deliverables of the graphic designer: The video producer company or individual is to work closely with Oxfam in Africa and submit the below product by the listed deadlines. Interested candidates to share their competitive technical and financial proposal including relevant taxes.

Service requirements & eligibility

• Private companies, NGOs, and individuals are eligible to apply, subject to availability of official documents of registration in the country/state where located. In addition to availability of tax invoices, tax deduction at source, and Bank details;

• At least 5 years experience in video production.

• Strong video, animation and editing skills and creative capacity

• Knowledge of development issues in Africa is an asset;

• French or English language skills, written and spoken;

• Ability to meet the tight deadline;

Ability to receive feedback, commenting and to revise designs accordingly.
