Description
SRD Center is seeking a qualified Digital Skills Master Trainer to design and deliver a practical, inclusive, and context-sensitive digital skills training programme for women activists in Jordan.
The assignment will contribute to a wider programme supporting women’s political participation and empowerment. The Master Trainer will be responsible for developing and delivering nine digital skills training workshops targeting selected women from diverse backgrounds, including women involved in community leadership, civil society, women’s rights organizations, local initiatives, public advocacy, and civic or political participation.
The training should strengthen participants’ ability to use digital tools safely, ethically, and effectively for communication, advocacy, networking, information management, civic engagement, public communication, and personal development. The programme should also support women activists in understanding and addressing digital-facilitated gender-based violence, online harassment, misinformation, privacy risks, and safe use of social media.
The assignment requires the development of a modular Arabic-language curriculum, participatory training delivery, pre- and post-training assessments, participant satisfaction tools, and a separate report for each training workshop.
The Digital Skills Master Trainer will be expected to:
Develop a modular, Arabic-language digital skills curriculum tailored to women activists.
Prepare a facilitator guide, presentation slides, practical exercises, case studies, digital templates, and training handouts.
Develop pre- and post-training digital competency assessment tools.
Ensure all training materials are gender-responsive, rights-based, accessible, and relevant to women activists in Jordan.
Adapt training content to participants with different levels of digital literacy, access to technology, connectivity, literacy levels, age groups, and accessibility needs.
Deliverdigital skills training workshops.
Use participatory adult-learning methods, including demonstrations, guided practice, group work, peer exchange, simulations, real-world assignments, and structured reflection.
Provide differentiated support to participants with lower baseline digital skills.
Create a safe, respectful, inclusive, and participatory learning environment.
Ensure training content links digital skills to women’s leadership, advocacy, civic and political participation, organizational engagement, and safe public communication.
Administer pre- and post-training digital competency assessments.
Administer participant satisfaction and feedback tools.
Analyze quantitative and qualitative results, including disaggregated findings.
Document workshop completion, participant feedback, challenges, adaptations, lessons learned, and recommendations.
Submit a separate report for each training workshop.
Provide recommendations for refresher sessions, mentoring, and future replication of the training programme.
The ideal candidate should have:
At least a bachelor’s degree in information and communication technology, digital transformation, education technology, communications, media, or another directly relevant field.
At least seven years of demonstrated professional experience in digital skills, digital literacy, digital communication, digital safety, technology-enabled advocacy, or related capacity-building work.
Strong experience designing and delivering participatory training programmes for adult learners.
Strong knowledge of digital safety, privacy, data protection, online harassment risks, misinformation, and safe use of social media.
Demonstrated understanding of gender equality, women’s rights, intersectionality, human rights-based programming, and the sociopolitical context of Jordan.
Experience working with women activists, civil society organizations, community-based organizations, or human rights actors.
Ability to develop Arabic-language training materials and facilitate training in Arabic.
Ability to analyze pre- and post-training data and prepare clear, evidence-based reports.
Availability to travel within Jordan and deliver the assignment according to the approved schedule.
