PRESENTATION
Educo is a global development and humanitarian action NGO, a member of ChildFund Alliance. We work to ensure that children and adolescents fully enjoy their rights and live in safe and protective environments. We operate in the Americas, Africa, Asia, and Spain, promoting safe and inclusive digital environments aligned with our mission.
To further strengthen our digital modernization, we are looking for a Director of Digital Transformation, IT and Cybersecurity to align technology with organizational strategy, drive innovation with AI, translate technological capabilities into value and impact, be able to collaborate closely with other directors and areas, co-creating value and influencing strategic decisions, as well as develop technology teams with a strategic vision.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Lead Educo's Digital Transformation, IT, and Cybersecurity strategy, ensuring alignment between technological innovation, financial sustainability, information security, and organizational needs.
Oversee the Digital Transformation and IT teams and drive digital adoption across Educo's 16 countries of operation.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Strategy and Technological Innovation
Define and implement the digital transformation strategy aligned with the organization's strategic objectives.
Identify relevant technologies and innovations, assessing their value contribution and viability.
Provide technical expertise to plan and monitor the digital roadmap.
Ensuring the quality, safety, and regulatory compliance of the digital transformation.
Analyze key data to support decision-making.
B. Team and project management
Lead, distribute and supervise the Digital Transformation and IT teams.
Ensure the use of scalable architectures and appropriate technologies (Power Platform, .NET, cloud computing).
Ensure the correct technical execution of digital projects.
C. Change management and digital adoption
Design and lead the digital adoption strategy across the entire organization, especially in the 16 countries of intervention.
Promote the use of collaborative and AI tools, with a special focus on the Microsoft Teams environment.
Coordinate with country and headquarters department representatives to ensure smooth and effective transitions.
D. Internal Coordination
Optimize internal customer service through communication mechanisms and incident resolution.
Establish smooth coordination with country IT teams.
Collaborate with the Programs Department on proposals for education and digital protection.
E. Economic Management
Control technological investment by making projections and financial sustainability analyses.
Report periodically to the Non-Financial Investment Committee.
Supervise technical and economic justifications for funders and audits.
F. Institutional representation, suppliers and collaborators
Represent Educo in technological and sectoral forums.
Participate in the selection, negotiation, and monitoring of technology providers.
Maintain strong relationships with partners and participate in interdepartmental committees.
PROFILE REQUIREMENTS
Training and experience
Higher degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science or similar areas.
Experience in digital transformation leadership.
Experience in digital transformation plans, change management and global projects.
Master's degrees and technological or project management certifications will be valued.
Availability to travel (15%).
Languages: Spanish and English (essential); French recommended.
A valid work permit is required to work in the EU.
Technical knowledge
Experience in development technologies and scalable architectures.
Advanced knowledge of cloud computing (Azure; AWS or Google Cloud preferred).
Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform and .NET.
Knowledge of BI solutions and experience with Salesforce CRM (desirable).
