ASSIGNMENT
Within the Finance area, the figure of the Grant Management Project Expert has the task of ensuring quality management and in line with the rules of donors for assigned grant projects, financed by institutional funds, foundations and companies, in support of International Programs.
Grant management
·Planning and financial monitoring of the grants awarded, financed by institutional donors, foundations and companies, managed by the International Programs Department according to the requirements of Save the Children Italia, Save the Children International and each individual donor;
·Support in the preparation of financial reports of grants managed by the International Programs Department according to the guidelines of institutional donors, companies and foundations and the rules of Save the Children Italy;
·Support for project and structure audits, both in Italy and at local offices, where required;
·Support in the drafting of budget proposals as part of the writing of new institutional proposals to the International Programs Department, ensuring compliance with the donor's guidelines;
·Management and administrative/financial training of staff and project partners of international programs with reference to the guidelines of institutional donors, foundations and companies, in Italy and abroad, where required;
·Risk analysis and development of risk reduction strategies, in order to ensure the pursuit of project objectives;
·Participation in meetings with institutional donors, foundations and companies, in Italy and in the countries of intervention, aimed at the management and financial supervision of institutional projects, where required;
· Carrying out financial verification and monitoring missions in the countries of project implementation, where required.
Other responsibilities:
·Support to the International Programs Directorate for the development and updating of internal guidelines and policies related to the management of the main institutional donors;
·Support to Finance with reference to planning, budget and control activities, as well as to the preparation of the financial statements, within the scope of its activities of competence.
LONG-TERM RESULTS
·Updating expenses and periodically monitoring projects of the Assigned International Programs Directorate;
·Create update reports on the progress of Grant projects funded by institutions, foundations and companies active in the assigned geographical areas;
·Stanage relations with the country offices of Save the Children International to ensure timely monitoring of assigned projects by making at least one monthly call per assigned project;
·Support the country offices of Save the Children international to ensure the correct implementation of the assigned projects, in compliance with the compliance rules specific to each donor.
EXPERIENCES AND QUALIFICATIONS
·Minimum 4 years of experience, in the field of non-profit, in the financial management of projects funded by institutional donors, budgeting, reporting and auditing.
·Excellent knowledge of management and reporting procedures and guidelines of the main institutional donors.
· Excellent knowledge of English and Italian, written and oral.
·Preferential requirement: previous experience in managing emergency projects funded by institutional donors (DG ECHO, UN, AICS, etc.)
