This project aims to enhance senior secondary education by reforming the curriculum to integrate practical skills, climate and disaster resilience, and gender-responsive content. It includes upgrading facilities to be climate-resilient and accessible, and strengthening school leadership with a focus on inclusive disaster preparedness and gender equality. The goal is to prepare students with the knowledge and skills necessary for adaptive livelihoods and participation in a climate-resilient economy, while fostering social inclusion and equity.
Key Responsibilities are:
Design and develop visually engaging learning materials with culturally appropriate illustrations
Establish design guidelines and templates for consistent presentation
Ensure optimal readability and age-appropriate design elements
Manage pre-press preparation, printing specifications, and coordination with printers
Develop and deliver training programs for local design staff; mentor through hands-on project work
Build local capacity in digital asset management and archiving
Develop production schedules, workflows, and manage design assets and resources
Prepare progress reports and documentation of design processes and standards
Collaborate with curriculum development teams and other stakeholders
Education/Training: Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field
Language: English
Professional experience:
At least 5 years of experience in educational content design or related fields
Experience designing learning materials tailored to diverse audiences
Proven skills in layout design, typography, and illustration demonstrated through portfolio
Experience with both print and digital production processes
Excellent cross-cultural communication skills
Background in training and capacity-building initiatives
Experience working in developing contexts, preferably within the Pacific region
