Job Title: Health Senior Officer

Project Management & Technical Oversight
Assist in implementing, and monitoring health project activities based on approved work plans and timelines.
Ensure that health activities are in line with protocols and donor requirements.
Provide technical support to field teams and health facilities to maintain quality service delivery.
Support the team in defining essential drug lists and service packages based on program scope.
Field Coordination and Implementation
Conduct regular field visits to monitor service provision and identify gaps or capacity-building needs.
Provide technical supervision and coaching to field staff including pharmacists, health officers, and focal points.
Ensure coordination between field and central teams for effective implementation and issue resolution.
Reporting and Documentation
Collect, analyze, and report health activity data in coordination with MEAL teams.
Prepare and submit regular technical and narrative reports as per internal and donor requirements.
Medical Commodities Management
Support the Health Coordinator in defining essential drug lists and service packages based on program scope.
Oversee the procurement, storage, distribution, and use of pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, and equipment.
Monitor stock data and consumption rates, address issues such as stock-outs, overstocking, or expiry risks.
Ensure compliance with GDP standards at central warehouses and supported facilities.
Collaborate with partners and logistics teams on stock orders, technical specifications, and delivery follow-up.
Build capacity of staff in pharmacy management and stock tracking through training and mentoring.
Education:
Degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, or a related field.
Required Work Experience:
Strong coordination and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong technical knowledge of medical commodities and pharmaceutical supply chains.
Ability to work under pressure and in insecure or challenging environments.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with data reporting and tracking tools is desirable.
At least 3–5 years of experience in humanitarian health project coordination and medical supply management.
Working Conditions:
Based in Aleppo with regular travel to field sites across Syria.
