Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is seeking to hire a talented professional to fill the role of Human Resources Senior Specialist. This position supports Asia-Pacific’s HR and talent management strategies through efficient and effective delivery of human resources services with primary focus on talent acquisition, onboarding and engagement. The position leads recruitment efforts at the area office working closely with HFHI hiring managers and advises the HR business partners and area leadership team on recruitment strategies, trends, talent insights and data analytics in coordination and collaboration with the Global Talent Acquisition center of expertise. The Sr. Specialist also works with national directors and HR country managers during the recruitment of critical talents directly through active engagement or indirectly through coaching, advice, and candidate outreach. The role also designs and implements initiatives contributing to the enhanced overall employee experience and engagement.
This position may be based remotely in one of the following countries: Australia, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Nepal, the Philippines, Singapore, or Vietnam.
Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition (60%)
* Leads and facilitates full recruitment cycle in the Asia-Pacific office (APO) following HFHI policies, practices and safer recruitment guidelines and ensuring compliance to local employment laws and practices. HFHI talents include full time equivalent employees, temporary staff, seconded employees, employees through professional employment organization, local and international volunteers and interns.
* Analyzes outcomes and focus on continuous improvement for recruiting and retention program.
* Engages in industry events and forum, leveraging expertise to extract knowledge to improve the organization’s abilities and readiness to plan for future business talent requirements.
* Networks through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups, social media and employees.
* Creates and implements recruiting policies for the organization. Reviews and provides inputs to NO’s recruitment policy and guidelines.
* Produces reports and data analysis for area management decision making.
* Provides training and guidance to hiring managers on appropriate laws, policies, and procedures related to recruiting, selection, and hiring.
* Works with the area office HR Business Partners and Country HR Managers to forecast, develop, and implement a workforce plan.
* Collaborates closely with Global People Team’s Talent Acquisition and Talent Management Centers of Expertise on any strategic or tactical resource needs for the area office and national organizations.
Onboarding (15%)
* Facilitates and/or coordinates onboarding program of new hires based in the AP region in collaboration with hiring managers and subject matter experts.
* Supports the APHR country focal points and Country HR managers in onboarding country leaders and critical talents.
* Coordinates with Global Talent Management and HR Business Partners on designing and updating onboarding program.
Employee Engagement and Wellbeing (15%)
* Designs and implements employee engagement strategies and initiatives at the area office that support a positive and cohesive journey for employees at HFHI APO leading to employee retention.
* Implements initiatives such as employee recognition programs, feedback mechanisms, employee social events, and wellness and team-building activities.
* Analyzes employee feedback and sentiment surveys to improve employee experience and engagement.
Area Office HR Management & Support (10%)
* Supports ad hoc projects and programs organized by HFHI Asia-Pacific related to talent acquisition, retention and risk management.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree.
* At least 5 years of experience in talent acquisition, employee experience, engagement, and/or as a human resources generalist.
* Strong technical experience in recruitment.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Demonstrates the ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
* Strong critical thinking, analytical, and negotiation skills.
* Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and attention to detail.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across diverse cultures.
* Excellent interviewing skills with the ability to assess candidate qualifications effectively.
* Experience in administering recruitment tools, platforms, and systems.

Preferred:
* Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social sciences, or business administration.
* Knowledge of compensation principles and practices.
* Professional human resources license or certification, such as the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) designation.
* Membership in a recognized human resources professional organization.
* Knowledge of immigration laws, expatriate employment regulations, and personal income taxation.

* Ability to work with children/HFH beneficiaries.
