Position Summary
The IT Cloud and Security Officer is responsible for controlling cloud-based platforms, centralized identity management, and information security controls. This role also assists in strengthening cybersecurity posture, securing access to cloud services, and ensuring required technical support across the platforms.
The IT Cloud and Security Officer will:
Ensure secure, reliable, and compliant operation of cloud-based infrastructure and services.
Implement and maintain centralized identity and access controls across systems.
Strengthen data protection, system security, and risk management practices.
Provide required technical support across the platforms including SIS, LMS.
Support secure adoption of new cloud platforms and system deployments.
Administer, monitor, and optimize cloud infrastructure and services, including identity platforms and hosted applications.
Manage user identity, authentication, authorization, and access control across enterprise systems.
Implement and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices aligned with institutional requirements.
Monitor system logs, access events, and security alerts; investigate and respond to security incidents.
Provide technical support across all platforms, including SIS, LMS, and other systems.
Support secure system implementations, migrations, and integrations in cloud and hybrid environments.
Ensure backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity controls are in place for cloud-based systems.
Maintain security documentation, procedures, and access control records.
Provide guidance and training to staff on secure system usage, access management, and cybersecurity awareness.
Prepare periodic operational, security, and compliance reports for Senior ICT and Systems Manager.
Perform other related duties as assigned by Senior ICT and Systems Manager.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
inimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT systems administration, cloud platforms, or security-related roles.
Hands-on experience with cloud environments and identity management solutions.
Technical knowledge of academic related systems including SIS, LMS and other educational and reporting platforms.
Working knowledge of security concepts including access control, encryption, logging, and incident response.
Experience with backup, recovery, and business continuity planning in cloud environments.
Familiarity with SQL and enterprise application environments.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and risk assessment skills.
Security-related certifications (e.g., Azure, Security+, or equivalent) are an advantage.
Other Skills

Strong documentation and policy development skills.
Fluency in English (spoken and written).
