About the Role
The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) is seeking to recruit an intern who will support GAIN India’s work in developing high-quality, evidence-based knowledge products and communication materials related to food systems, nutrition, and food fortification at national and state levels. The role combines data analysis, synthesis, and strong written communication to translate complex datasets and technical evidence into clear, actionable insights for key stakeholders including policymakers, development partners, donors and practitioners. This role will be offered on a 6-month full-time contract, subject to availability of funding and will be based in Delhi, India.
Key responsibilities include
A. Knowledge product development – food systems, nutrition & fortification
Support analysis and synthesis of national and state-level food systems dashboard data, including indicators related to availability, affordability, safety, and quality of diets.
Contribute to national-level food systems insights and support development of state-level outputs for up to six selected states.
B. Dissemination of Knowledge Products
Support planning and coordination of webinars, learning events, and dissemination activities related to food systems, nutrition, and fortification.
Assist in preparing dissemination materials:
About you
· Strong analytical and synthesis skills, with ability to interpret data and technical information.
· Excellent written communication and content writing skills, with ability to write clearly, concisely, and logically.
· Ability to translate technical and data-heavy content into accessible narratives.
· Strong attention to detail and quality.
· Good organisational and coordination skills.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
· Interest in food systems, nutrition, public health, and development policy.
· Strong proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; familiarity with data visualization tools is an asset.
· Ability to work independently while seeking guidance when needed.
· Comfortable working in a fast-paced, policy-oriented environment.
· Strong interest in learning about nutrition, food fortification, and food systems transformation in India.

The stipend on offer for this role is INR 15,000 per month.
