SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL (SI) is an international humanitarian aid association that, for more than 40 years, has been helping populations victims of armed conflicts and natural disasters by meeting vital needs, drinking, eating, sheltering. Particularly committed to the fight against diseases related to unsanitary water, the world's leading cause of death, SI implements through its interventions expertise in the field of access to drinking water, sanitation and the promotion of hygiene but also in the essential one of food security and livelihood. Present in 26 countries, the IS teams - 3,200 people in total composed of expatriates, national employees, permanent staff at the headquarters, some volunteers... - intervene with professionalism and commitment with respect for cultures.
Background
Assist the Geographic Manager, the Desk Program Referent and the Responsibility and Development Manager of Lenders following the missions in Haiti, Ukraine, Venezuela and Mozambique in the execution of the administrative tasks necessary for the management of missions and programs, and in the operational monitoring of the programs implemented in the field.
Provide support to the mission teams as a whole.
MAIN OBJECTIVES OF THE TRAINING:
Discover the headquarters of an NGO and understand the relationship between the headquarters and the field
Discover the different programs and areas of expertise of Solidarites International;
Discover the humanitarian and geopolitical context of the areas concerned;
Discover the different professions in the field;
Understand the functioning of a mission and its constraints;
Understand the relationships between the different humanitarian actors;
Know the specific expectations of funders;
Put into practice project monitoring and funding cycle management;
Be in direct contact with the field through expatriate staff;
Discover the strategy of an NGO
MAIN TASKS:
Update monthly tools (program sheets, operational maps, etc.);
Under the supervision of the Program Manager, and CRDB, monitor missions and field requests;
Participate in the review of project proposals and reports for donors, and exercise a critical view;
Participate in the review of lessor contracts and partnership agreements;
Ensure compliance with the reporting deadlines imposed by landlords via the retro-planning of reports related to ongoing projects;
Manage the paper and electronic archiving (jointly with the Desk's support assistant) of documents concerning the missions;
Participate in the various briefings and debriefings, in connection with RP and CRDB, of expatriates going on mission;
Contribute to the briefing of expatriates;
Participate in weekly and monthly meetings of the Desk;
In collaboration with the other assistants, tidy up and reorganize the network;
Maintain contact with missions in the absence of those responsible;
Ensure the translation of various documents (English or Spanish → French / French → English or Spanish);
Contribute to certain programmatic or technical projects.

Internship based at the headquarters of SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL in Clichy (92), metro Mairie de Clichy
Intern with mandatory internship agreement.
Gratuity: 5.60 euros/hour
The gratuity is calculated in proportion to the actual hours of attendance over the month. (On average 1 month = 154h, or 22 days of 7h/day)
Public transport supported at 50% by SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL
Restaurant tickets at €8.90 / effective day of internship, with participation of SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL at 60%
Higher education (bac +5 level) preferably focused on project management and/or humanitarian, political science or international relations, preferably with knowledge of water issues, food security or rehabilitation;
Real interest and motivation for the associative and humanitarian - willingness to go to the field in the short term;
International work experience appreciated;
Writing, synthesis and spelling skills;
Critical and analytical spirit, autonomy, rigor, responsiveness, organization, efficiency, significant work capacity and ability to work under pressure;
Computer science: Windows (Word, Excel, power point); Internet and email (Outlook)
French, English and Spanish fluent
