Description
OBJECTIVE OF THE WORK
As Project Development Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the preparation of technical proposals and the management of the grant cycle to secure strategic funding for the emergency response to the double earthquake of June 24, 2026. You will act as the main liaison for internal and external communication, ensuring the timely submission of high-quality narrative reports to donors and the institutional visibility of the achievements made in the country.
FUNCTIONS
Contribute to the drafting, technical review and consolidation of project proposals, concept notes and emergency budgets.
Support the contractual compliance of the grants and ensure the timely delivery of narrative and technical reports to the donors.
Analyze and communicate donor-specific regulations and requirements to the teams responsible for on-the-ground implementation.
Develop external communication products and success stories to highlight the impact of humanitarian interventions.
Ensure that all operational activities strictly comply with the corporate visibility plans required by donors.
Participate in external coordination meetings to strengthen strategic alliances with other actors in the humanitarian sector.
Human Resources: Facilitate communication and the flow of technical information between the programs, finance, and logistics departments.
Logistics: Ensure that all contractual documentation, proposals, and reports are properly archived digitally.
Finance: Monitor compliance with critical reporting deadlines to avoid delays in disbursement requests.
Conduct daily monitoring of new funding opportunities aligned with the national disaster response strategy.
Coordinate with program and support teams the collection of data and lessons learned for the formulation of future projects.
Support the processes of identifying and due diligence of local partners to promote the localization agenda in humanitarian response.
Required:
Professional with a degree in: Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Literature or related areas.
Proven prior experience in the humanitarian sector, focused on developing technical proposals and relationships with institutional donors.
Knowledge of international donor funding guidelines in emergency response
Demonstrated ability to write advanced technical reports and proposals in Spanish and English.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office for data management and document creation
