Description
Jouri Research & Consulting (JRC) is a research and evaluation firm specializing in providing actionable evidence to support humanitarian organizations operating in complex conflict environments. As JRC marks its 10th anniversary, the organization seeks to strengthen its brand positioning and external communications through an updated website and refreshed visual identity.
The redesign will align JRC’s digital presence with its positioning as a trusted provider of rigorous, decision-oriented research and evaluation in fragile and conflict-affected settings.
The objective of this assignment is to:
- Redesign and modernize JRC’s website;
- Improve user interface (UI) and user experience (UX);
- Refresh and refine the visual identity, including logo treatment emphasizing “JRC”;
- Enhance the presentation and structuring of content to clearly communicate JRC’s expertise, track record, and value proposition.
- Refine and modernize the existing logo;
- Develop a cohesive visual identity system (color palette, typography, graphic elements);
- Provide brand guidelines for consistent use across digital and communication materials.
- Conduct a brief review of the current website structure and content;
- Propose an updated site architecture aligned with JRC’s strategic positioning;
- Design a modern, clean, and professional interface;
- Improve navigation and overall user experience;
- Ensure mobile responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility.
- Develop visual templates for Company profile, Track record / project highlights, Team profiles, and Publications and reports;
- Integrate visual elements (infographics, icons, data visualization concepts) to better communicate impact and expertise;
- Ensure content layout reflects JRC’s positioning: “Actionable Evidence for Complex Crises.”
- Deliver a fully functional, secure, and scalable website;
- Ensure content management system (CMS) is user-friendly for internal updates;
- Optimize website for performance and basic SEO.
1. Refreshed logo and visual identity package;
2. Brand guidelines document;
3. Website wireframes and design mockups for approval;
4. Fully developed and deployed website;
5. Source files and design assets;
6. Brief user guide for internal website management.
The assignment is expected to be completed within 6 weeks from contract signature. A detailed work plan with milestones shall be proposed by the service provider.
- Proven experience in website design and branding for consulting firms, research institutions, or humanitarian/development organizations;
- Strong portfolio showcasing modern, professional, and impact-oriented designs;
- Expertise in UX/UI design;
- Experience working with mission-driven or international organizations;
- Capacity to deliver both design and technical implementation.
- Technical proposal outlining approach and methodology;
- Proposed timeline and work plan;
- Financial proposal with detailed budget;
- Portfolio of relevant previous work;
- References (at least two).
The consultant will report directly to JRC leadership. Regular check-ins will be scheduled to review progress and validate design direction.
The budget will be determined based on the financial proposals received and available resources. The financial proposal should clearly specify all costs, including design, development, revisions, and deployment.
