Description
About INSO
Founded in 2011, the International NGO Safety Organization (INSO) is an international NGO that supports humanitarian aid workers by establishing safety coordination platforms in insecure contexts.
INSO provides registered NGOs with a range of free services, including real-time incident tracking, analytical reports, safety-related data and mapping, crisis management support, staff orientations, and training. INSO provides daily support to more than 1,500 NGOs operating in 24 of the world’s most insecure countries. INSO is registered in the Netherlands, with its headquarters located in The Hague, a city renowned for its international focus on peace and justice.
INSO Sudan
INSO Sudan is currently upscaling its services to better support its 126 partners. The coordination team is based in Port Sudan, and we are opening several offices in the country. Together, we will assist NGOs working in the volatile Sudan context with reports, analysis, coordination services, and advice. Working for INSO Sudan will allow you to experience this complex environment while you support humanitarian efforts to address the challenges Sudan faces.

You will produce analytical products on regional developments relevant to the Sudan programme, provide tailored analytical support to NGO partners, and contribute to relevant briefings and meetings with the Country Director, Regional Director, and other INSO teams. The position is based in Khartoum, Sudan.

Offer a responsive, tailored analysis service directly to INSO’s NGO partners upon their request.
Convene and contribute to regional NGO coordination meetings and fora with humanitarian counterparts to discuss regional safety and access.
Programme Development
Monitor regional and cross-border developments through a diverse range of sources, such as NGOs, the UN, civil society organisations, research institutes and media outlets.
Cultivate an active network of contacts within the broader humanitarian community as well as other relevant stakeholders for information sharing, analytical exchanges and coordination.
Liaise and coordinate with the GAT team to enable analytical capacity building in the country office.
Liaise with the Country Director and Regional Director for a coherent programming approach, opportunities and synergies in regional networks covering the Sudan humanitarian response.
Effectively represent and protect INSO’s principles of independence, impartiality and neutrality as well as actively promoting INSO within the humanitarian community.
