Seefar is seeking CVs from excellent candidates for the role of Research Assistant to support the implementation of two research studies under the SUSTAIN project. The first study focuses on Talent Partnership Countries (TPC), with particular emphasis on Tunisia and Egypt. The second study examines STEM employer engagement and international recruitment practices in Germany and Ireland. This is a full time-position.

The role involves supporting both qualitative and quantitative research processes, including data collection, cleaning, analysis, and report drafting. It also requires strong organizational and communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement and reporting.
The following are the primary responsibilities of the role, with estimated allocations of time and attention.
Approximately 35% of your time and attention:
Assist in organizing and conducting interviews with stakeholders in Tunisia and Egypt.
Support communication and scheduling with local partners and respondents.
Ensure proper documentation of interview transcripts
Approximately 35% of your time and attention:
Support the analysis of employer survey data and key informant interviews (KIIs) in Germany and Ireland.
Conduct data cleaning, coding, and basic quantitative and qualitative analysis.
Approximately 30 % of your time and attention:
Contribute to the drafting of final research reports for both research studies
Support in synthesizing findings and preparing visuals or summaries for presentations and internal briefings.

To thrive in this role, you hold an undergraduate degree in a relevant field and bring three to five years of experience supporting research on migration-related projects. You demonstrate strong analytical and project coordination skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet tight deadlines.
You are fluent in English, Arabic, and French, with excellent writing skills that enable you to contribute effectively to reports and stakeholder communications. You are comfortable engaging with local partners and institutional stakeholders to ensure that research activities are well-aligned and responsive to evolving project needs.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, you excel at prioritizing tasks and delivering high-quality outputs independently. You are motivated by a commitment to social impact and bring a client-focused mindset, balanced with the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, research-driven environment.
Before you start, confirm you meet these minimum requirements:
Academic background in international development, migration studies, social sciences, economics, data analysis, or other relevant fields.
Experience with qualitative and/or quantitative research methods.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Proficiency in data management tools (Excel, Google forms, python or R, Nvivo..)
Experience working in labour mobility programs with North African stakeholders is a plus.
Fluency in English, Arabic, and French is required.
