As a strategic member of the Global People & Culture team, the HR Business Partner (HRBP) plays a pivotal role in aligning HR initiatives with business objectives. This position partners closely with leadership across business units to deliver proactive and responsive HR support that fosters a high performing, engaged workforce. Key responsibilities include Employee Relations: Lead the resolution of employee relations matters through thorough investigation, mediation, and guidance to ensure fair and consistent outcomes. Training & Development: Design and deliver leadership development programs and soft skills training to enhance team capabilities and support career growth. Employee Engagement: Spearhead initiatives that build a positive workplace culture, including organizing town halls and recognition events, creating and managing kudos boards and shout-out platforms, coordinating service anniversary and birthday celebrations. Compliance & Legal Updates: Stay current on federal and state employment laws, ensuring timely communication of regulatory changes to relevant stakeholders within the Global People & Culture team. Cross-Functional Support: Serve as a backup for the Benefits Manager and HRIS Administrator, contributing to seamless HR operations across functions.
Main Responsibilities:
Conducts weekly meetings with Programs and Partnerships, IT, Finance, Development and Communications Departments.
Consults with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
Develop and oversee a comprehensive employee engagement program, including regular Town Hall Meetings, employee recognition program, including Shout-out and Kudoboard platforms.
Develops and delivers management training on CORE HR policies and procedures and management best practices. Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation. · Develops contract terms for new hires, promotions and transfers.
Assists international employees with expatriate assignments and related HR matters.
Provides guidance and input on business unit restructuring, workforce planning and succession planning.
Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required.
SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment
Must be located in Los Angeles
This is a hybrid role / must be in the office 3 days per week
Experience:
Minimum of 8 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and respective federal and state employment laws.

Working knowledge and experience with UKG Ready software.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
