Who we are?
IDA is an international independent non-governmental organization providing medical and humanitarian assistance to people affected by conflicts, natural disasters and epidemics regardless of race, religion, gender or political affiliation.
IDA was founded in 2012 by Syrian doctors from Aleppo in response to the healthcare and humanitarian crisis in Syria.
IDA Syria is the main healthcare provider in the Northern Aleppo/Syria area, working closely with 500,000 IDPs and 700,000 host community through 20 healthcare facility and other health and nutrition projects
During last year, IDA has provided 1.2 million services in Heath, Nutrition, WaSH and Camp Management
Location: Northern Deir Alzoor Countryside : Abu Khashab PHC
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
– Provides competent pediatric services within the administrative work schedule determined by the Health Coordinator.
– Supervises the implementation and adherence to national and international standard treatment guidelines by all physicians.
– Responds to emergencies, organizes work at the center, and provides necessary information and documentation regarding additional treatment.
– Participates in vaccination campaigns assigned by the Health Coordinator.
– Participates in the preparation of weekly and monthly reports and contributes to other reports as required.
– Participates in the training and guidance of medical and nursing staff.
– Participates in daily medical rounds and weekly coordination meetings (with other staff) and uses the approved templates for written meeting minutes.
– Reports any difficulties, security concerns, potential outbreaks of infectious diseases, and any other relevant information to the Health Coordinator and Program Coordinator, according to their respective roles.
– Upholds the rights, dignity, and confidentiality of patient information.
– Actively contributes to the improvement of the health facility and the organization.
– Performs any other duties within their expertise as assigned by the Medical Director.
– Follow the instructions of the Medical Director. In their absence, follow the instructions of any other authorized member.
– Strictly adhere to humanitarian and protection principles and standards, as well as organizational policies, including the Code of Conduct, Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), and Child Protection.
Required Qualifications:
Pediatric Specialist.
Minimum seven years of experience, including residency.
Computer skills (Microsoft applications).
Independent Doctors Association does not tolerate sexual exploitation and abuse, and committed to acting professionally and ethically.
Independent Doctors Association is zero tolerable with any SEA case, IDA is creating the best environment to make sure that all staff have understood SEA and how to report in case there is any suspected case
