About: Action against Hunger

Created in 1979, Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental organization that fights hunger in the world. Its charter of humanitarian principles - independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, transparency - has been the basis of its identity for more than 40 years. Its mission is to save lives by eliminating hunger through the prevention, detection and treatment of undernutrition, especially during and after emergency situations related to conflicts and natural disasters. Mission:

Under the responsibility of the Regional Finance Officer - Pool 3 West and Southern Africa, your missions will be as follows:

Provide support for the monitoring of the good accounting and budgetary management of the countries of the Regions

-Ensure the production and monitoring of bank signature delegation
-Contribute to the monthly control of the accounting and budgetary allocations of
Missions
-Perform random checks to ensure compliance with the cash management policy
-Bringing support at the time of monthly/annual accounting and budgetary closings to the Regional Finance Officer
-Contribute to the follow-up of receivables
-Support the production of documents relating to audits carried out at headquarters or in the field
-Contribute to the monitoring and analysis of the financial performance of the region with the Regional Finance Manager

Profile:

To access this position, it is necessary to hold a bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, financial management, auditing or international relations. You have professional experience in finance, accounting or auditing and have a particular sensitivity for international relations and the associative/NGO world. You are able to manage several missions simultaneously, demonstrate an excellent team spirit, autonomy, rigor and have good written and oral communication skills. Mastery of the Office Pack is essential. Professional English is required.
