The Vacancy
Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) is a faith-based humanitarian relief and development organisation working to save and transform the lives of some of the world’s most vulnerable people. Established in 1984, with an active presence in over 45 countries, we strive to make the world a better and fairer place for those affected by poverty, conflict and natural disasters.
IRW’s Global Family Development Division is recruiting for the position of ‘Growth Marketer’ to join its dynamic team based out of its offices in Birmingham, UK. The organisation is currently operating to a hybrid working model.
The growth marketer is responsible for administering and evolving all websites that are managed by the Global Family Development Division (GFD) as well as conduct all digital marketing activities to generate visitors to the websites and increase donations.
The successful candidate must have:
A marketing or web related qualification
Experience of using Google Adwords and Analytics
Experience within a content development role
Understanding of the charity sector and the fundamentals of digital marketing
Experience of working within a Wordpress environment
Have a good understanding of popular digital marketing platforms
Have a keen interest and understanding of trends and regular changes in the digital landscape
Have a good understanding of performance advertising
Have a good understanding of analysing data and metrics to improve performance
Excellent writing skills, particularly for web
Excellent verbal and communication skills
Strong understanding of service delivery and what it takes to deliver successfully to a customer
Ability to work effectively under pressure to tight deadlines and balance competing priorities
Planning and organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise and plan work, set and achieve deadlines
Good communication and interpersonal skills and good team-working with an ability to work in a collaborative manner
Ability to develop digital engagement strategy, working with in-country offices
Results focused – ability to deliver objectives and targets with a positive drive to achieve results
Sound understanding of the audiences that Islamic Relief communicates with
