Information on the Role:
Job Title: 2 Program Officers
Places of assignment: Adamaoua Region or North (the exact location will be specified later)
Position Status: National Position
Type and duration of contract: Fixed-term contract of 12 months renewable with a trial period

Functions and Responsibilities:
Contribute to the development of conflict mapping;
Facilitate discussion groups to identify the needs, wishes and fears of target beneficiary groups, some members of which currently live beyond the country's borders.
Conduct quantitative and qualitative data collection consultations on social cohesion and conflict analysis;
Contribute to the construction of networks of key actors across the country and beyond, ensuring the participation in the peace process of those who could otherwise boycott it or try to hinder it.
Collaborate with colleagues and members of advisory groups on the CAR side, and Chad for effective cross-border work;
Contribute to the evolution of conflict analysis in the areas of intervention,
Write activity reports and other notes on training, meetings and any other activities carried out under the program and submit them to the review of the basic leader;
Facilitate community dialogues, mediation, training, coaching and support for members of Advisory Groups;
Facilitate training on the mechanisms for peaceful resolution of the conflict;
Assist in the design of future projects;
Contribute to the organization of cross-border meetings;
Understand and comply with local and international security policy, guidelines and best practices.
Escalate to anyone on the right any information on the security context or any contextual or other event, having a possible consequence on the activities of Concordis International and the safety of the teams.
Translate during individual interviews, focus groups, workshops or other activities between different local languages and French.
Fulfille other tasks that will be assigned to him by his supervisor as part of the program.
Qualifications and skills required:
Essential:
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Project Management, International Relations; Development, Conflict Resolution, or in a related field;
Practical and in-depth knowledge of the regions of Mayo-Rey, Faro, Bénoue, Mbéré, Djérem, Vina, Faro-et-Déo and more generally the tri-border area of Cameroon/Chad/RCA; demonstrating an ability to create a network and an in-depth knowledge of the ethnic realities of those in the northeast of Cameroon
Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in the humanitarian field and / or in local development and / or conflict resolution and peacebuilding especially within the country;
Personal efficiency, organizational capacity and flexibility in difficult circumstances;
Ability to engage, communicate and negotiate with authorities and communities in difficult conditions in an open, transparent and constructive manner;
Willingness to work in a multicultural team in a demanding environment;
Perfect command of French, and preferably Peuhl/Fulfulde, Mboum, or other dialects with a high prevalence in this tri-border region,
Be sensitive to cultural diversity and have the ability to respond with tact and diplomacy to cultural questions and those related to political realities;
Mastery of Microsoft Office software;
Commitment to the mission, principles and values of Concordis; especially adhere to neutrality and impartiality in peacebuilding work.

Be available and flexible,
Mastery of the Fulfulde language, Mboum and other local dialects is an asset
Experience and knowledge on the subject of transhumance
Mastery of data collection tools on mobile phone or tablet
